Husqvarna Australia celebrated 30 years of Swedish innovation and excellence in Automower® robotic mowing
2025 marks 30 years since Swedish born Husqvarna, the world leader in robotic mowing*, launched its first autonomous lawn mower. In Australia, Husqvarna quickly recognised the potential of autonomous mowers to simplify lawn care and enhance outdoor living. With expansive green spaces and growing demand for sustainable technology, Australians have embraced Automower® for their superior cut quality and environmental advantages.
Since the Solar Mower debuted in 1995 — a solar-powered model nicknamed “the turtle” — Husqvarna has led the way in efficient, sustainable lawn care. The 1998 Solar Hybrid brought battery-powered mowing to homes, and today’s innovations, from app-connected and all-wheel-drive models to CEORA™ and wire-free NERA units, reflect three decades of continuous evolution.
Husqvarna Australia recently celebrated this milestone with a premium event at Centennial Homestead in Sydney, bringing together industry leaders, media, and turf professionals to explore the evolution of Automower®, from early heritage models to today’s advanced all-wheel-drive and EPOS units. Husqvarna executives Ingrid Ekström and Pauline Nilsson shared insights on professional robotics and the continued growth of the brand in Australia and New Zealand.
The evening highlighted three decades of Swedish innovation and reaffirmed Husqvarna’s commitment to sustainable, intelligent turf management. With a legacy of pioneering technology and continued investment in smarter solutions, Automower® remains a trusted choice for homeowners, professionals, and golf courses around the world.
