SWEDISH BUSINESS IN AUSTRALIA AWARDS 2026
The Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) is proud to present the Swedish Business in Australia Awards 2026 — celebrating outstanding achievement, innovation, leadership and impact across the Swedish-Australian business community.
These prestigious awards recognise organisations, businesses and individuals that are helping shape the future of business, sustainability, innovation and collaboration between Sweden and Australia. The awards provide a unique platform to showcase excellence, highlight success stories and recognise initiatives and achievements that contribute positively to industry, society and the broader Swedish-Australian relationship.
From innovation and entrepreneurship to sustainability, social impact and professional leadership, the awards celebrate organisations and individuals that demonstrate vision, resilience, forward-thinking leadership and measurable impact within their field.
Entries are now open and we are pleased invite nominations for the 2026 Swedish Business in Australia Awards.
The Award winners will be announced at the Swedish Business in Australia Awards & Christmas Dinner, co-hosted by the Embassy of Sweden, Thursday 26 November 2026 at The Fullerton Hotel in Sydney.

The awards are run on a non-profit basis and recognise businesses, organisations and professionals that demonstrate excellence, leadership and innovation while contributing to a positive profile for Swedish business in Australia.
A distinguished jury of independent industry leaders, business executives and subject matter experts will assess nominations across the award categories.

Entries for the 2026 award categories are open and we welcome any company/enterprise/business executive/entrepreneur or young professional in Australia with a strong relationship with Sweden to nominate. We also encourage organisations and individuals to nominate for a specific project for example a sustainability focused product/service, an innovative campaign, or change.
SWEDISH BUSINESS IN AUSTRALIA AWARD CATEGORIES:
1. Excellence in Innovation
This category is open to all Swedish or Swedish-Australian businesses — large or small, new or established. It recognises organisations that have made a meaningful impact in their industry by introducing, enhancing, or implementing an innovative idea, solution, method, technology, process, or application. The innovation may be newly developed or an improvement of an existing approach, and should demonstrate clear value creation, industry relevance, and long-term potential.
2. Excellence in Sustainability
Honours organisations that execute initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to sustainable business practices in planning, operations, specific projects, marketing and/or in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) to achieve a sustainable future. We encourage businesses of all sizes and sectors that go above and beyond to achieve any of the SDG’s, to reduce the impact of their operations on the environment and/or provide products and services that have positive environmental outcomes.
3. Excellence in Entrepreneurship
This award recognises outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and achievement. It celebrates individuals or businesses—large or small—that have demonstrated vision, initiative and resilience in building and growing a successful enterprise. The recipient will have shown measurable impact in their industry, introduced new or improved products, services, or business models and contributed to strengthening the Swedish-Australian business landscape through entrepreneurial leadership.
4. Excellence in Social Impact
Highlights businesses/organisations/individuals that have delivered initiatives with a sustainable, positive and lasting impact on the community. The award highlights efforts that create meaningful, sustainable outcomes through projects, programs, systems, or ventures. Initiatives may vary in scale but must demonstrate a clear commitment to social responsibility, long-term benefit and broader community value.
5. Small Business of the Year
This award celebrates small businesses that has demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation and adaptability. The recipient will have shown strong business growth or impact within its market segment, a commitment to sustainability or community engagement and clear alignment with Swedish values such as quality, collaboration and forward thinking. Eligible businesses typically have fewer than 20 employees and play a vital role in strengthening Swedish-Australian business relations.
6. Business Professional of the Year
This award honours individuals who embody exceptional business acumen, strategic foresight, and inspiring leadership. It celebrates executives or entrepreneurs who have achieved significant success in their careers, whether within an organisation or through running their own business. These professionals exemplify the core values of SACC, serving as role models for the next generation with their dedication to innovation, transformation, and sustainable progress.
7. Young Professional of the Year
Recognising the tremendous talent in the young professional business community, this award honours up-and-coming leaders (up to 35 years) who impress with their ability to make an impact, build strategic success and inspire others with their business acumen to raise the Swedish profile in Australia.
ENTRY DETAILS
Any organisation, professional, entrepreneur or business executive in Australia with strong ties to Sweden is eligible to nominate.
Nominations may be submitted by the organisation or individual (self-nomination) or by another party, provided the nominee has been informed and agrees to participate in the judging process.
Applicants may nominate in more than one category; however, separate submissions are required for each award category.
Supporting material such as presentations, reports, videos, images, case studies or other relevant documentation may be uploaded as part of the application.
