Dear SACC members, dear friends,
After three productive, enjoyable but also challenging years, I am in early August leaving Canberra to return to Stockholm. I have very much enjoyed my time at the Embassy in Sweden, so beautifully situated in Yarralumla in central Canberra. We have a great Embassy team and Sweden has a good standing in Australia. Equally, I have tremendously enjoyed the very fruitful cooperation that we have with SACC and all SACC members. SACC does a wonderful job in raising the Swedish flag and in promoting further strong interaction between Sweden and Australia. The way that the challenges emerging with the pandemic have been turned into opportunities, gives testimony to the strategic vision and creativity which characterizes the work of the Chamber.
It is always difficult to pack up and leave a place that has been good to you. Australia is one such place. I want to thank all of you that I have been dealing with. It has been wonderful to travel the country and to meet SACC members and Swedish companies in the various states. The interest to work together within the Swedish community to share Swedish perspectives with Australian stakeholders is strong and encouraging.
Team Sweden in Australia – The Embassy, SACC and Business Sweden – will continue our joint efforts to promote Swedish interests. There is a great potential for Sweden in Australia and we can be optimistic about future prospects.
See you again,
Henrik Cederin

Thank you to Ambassador Cederin from the SACC and its Board
Dear Ambassador Henrik Cederin,
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your remarkable contribution and support to the Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) and the Swedish-Australian business community. Your conscientious work with the SACC and member organisations have supported the SACC in bringing many Swedish and Australian industry representatives and companies together to maintain and to further develop business and trade relationships while supporting the SACC and the Swedish and Australian businesses in introducing new connections, finding opportunities and new areas of collaboration.
The SACC is very thankful for the close cooperation and opportunities we have had working with the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden under the TEAM SWEDEN initiative. We especially would like to highlight and thank you for hosting the very successful launch event of the SACC Sustainability Committee in April 2022. These joint efforts have further developed Swedish-Australian business relations and have been invaluable for the SACC and its members.
Thank you for your devotion as an Honorary Member of the SACC board, you will be greatly missed, and we wish you and your family all the best in the future.
Best wishes,

SACC YP Midsummer Celebration in Sydney 25 June
After two years of lockdowns and restrictions hindering us Swedes to do what we do best, we were finally able to meet up at Bronte Park to make frog sounds and jump around the Maypole! The YP Board was excited to see over 50 people attend the event. We were prepared and had stocked up on blue and yellow ponchos for everyone, but in some magic way La Nina let the sun shine on us and we could enjoy the whole afternoon under clear skies. Herring, strawberry cake and the rest of the Midsummer essentials on the table, ‘5-kamp’, dancing around the maypole, singing and laughing – we had it all! Thanks everyone for coming!!! What an afternoon!!!
