The Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in the 2020 Swedish Business in Australia Awards. The awards provide a great platform for companies and individuals to showcase their business within the Swedish-Australian business community and present the importance their business plays. It is also a great opportunity to be recognised at a state and national level for being a business leader in an area, a specific project or field of expertise, and offers invaluable promotional possibilities.
Once again, we are pleased to have the opportunity to co-host this event with the Embassy of Sweden. Eligible winners of the Business Awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Event, which is being planned for February 2021 in-line with the health and safety measures of the Australian government. More details will be announced as they become available.

The Awards are run on a non-profit basis and acknowledges Swedish business achievements in Australia. Award recipients are Swedish related businesses and professionals that demonstrate the core values of business excellence and achievements that have helped to develop a positive profile for Swedish business in Australia. The jury consists of selected independent Directors of SACC. Entries for the 2020 award categories are now open and we welcome any company/enterprise/young business executive or entrepreneur in Australia with a strong relationship to Sweden to nominate. We also encourage organisations and individuals to nominate for a specific project for example a sustainability focused product/service, an innovative campaign or change.
AWARD CATEGORIES
1. Excellence in Business Enterprise
Open to all Swedish or Swedish-Australian businesses; large or small, newcomer or established. Here we are looking to highlight businesses or organisations that have achieved outstanding results through initiatives that demonstrate excellence in business management, a significant project, implementing progressive sustainability strategy, innovative campaign or product, marketing/ branding or a new enterprise launch.
2. Excellence in Innovation
Recognises businesses that have made significant contributions to their industry through the introduction, improvement and implementation of an innovative solution or idea, a pivot, a project, a method, technology, process or application, new, created during the pandemic, existing or long-term.
3. Excellence in Sustainability
Recognises organisations that execute initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to sustainable business practices in planning, operations, specific projects, marketing and/or inline with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) to achieve a sustainable future. We encourage businesses of all sizes and sectors that go above and beyond to achieve any of the SDG’s, to reduce the impact of their operations on the environment and/or provide products and services that have positive environmental outcomes.
4. Excellence in Small Business
The Excellence in Small Business Award recognises a business (employing 1-20 employees) that has attained significant growth and is able to demonstrate the specific business projects, strategies and processes implemented to achieve sustainable growth in the previous 24 months.
5. Young Business Executive/Young Entrepreneur
This award recognises young business professionals who demonstrate outstanding business spirit and strategic direction whilst providing inspiration to a new generation of upcoming young business people. A young business executive/entrepreneur, who has built a successful career within an organisation and/or operates a successful business or business project.
Note – businesses/professionals may nominate for more than one award, however separate nominations are required for each category
ENTRY DETAILS
Any organisation/young business executive or entrepreneur in Australia can nominate. Nominations can be made by the organisation/individual (self- nomination) or another party, providing the nominated organisation/individual is informed and agrees to the nomination. All nominated organisations will be contacted for their agreement to be nominated and judged.
