As a post-event for the Swedish Australian Innovation Technology & Design Summit 28-29 September, the University of Technology Sydney invites SACC members and guests to the UTS Tech Lab in Botany.
The UTS Tech Lab is a new-generation research facility supporting collaborative, industry-led research partnerships that have the potential to drive innovation and growth in the IT and engineering industry. Industry partners benefit from access to the multidisciplinary facility and equipment, academic and professional teams and additional project resources through PhDs and student interns.
The UTS Tech Lab facilities cover many areas of collaboration within different industries, here are a few of the areas/facilities:
- Mixed Reality Motion Platform Lab
- Structural Engineering
- Acoustics Lab
- Antenna Chamber
- Industry 4.0 Lab
- Robotics
- 5G/6G Wireless Comms & Networking
- Electrical Power & Energy Systems Lab

- Implant Testing Lab – Launch early 2023
- Data Analytics, Machine Learning, AI

Where: UTS Tech Lab, 32-34 Lord Street, Botany NSW 2019
Transport: The UTS Tech Lab bus runs between the UTS Ultimo campus and Tech Lab https://techlab.uts.edu.au/bus-timetable/.
The bus leaves at 1.45 pm bus from campus. The Tech Lab is only a 20 min drive from the CBD and there is plenty of free parking on site. Please note that registrations are essential and that there are limited spots for this visit.
UTS Tech Lab bus timetable:
- 1.45pm pick up – Thomas St bus stop – 2.10pm drop off
- Tech Lab tour – 2.30pm to 3.45pm/4.00pm
- 4.15pm pick up – 4.40pm drop off – Thomas St bus stop
