Dear Members and Friends,
What an eventful year we had with the SACC! Throughout the year, we have organised an extensive range of events from business awards to informative events covering various topics, such as AI, digitalisation, renewable energy and cyber security. Our CEO talk series provided invaluable insights into leadership and corporate social responsibility, featuring CEO’s from renowned Swedish companies. Additionally, our executive forum events brought decision-makers from member companies together for fruitful discussions.
We also hosted numerous social and networking events that created connections within our business community. The Nordic Open Golf Day, FIFA Women’s World Cup gatherings, and our Julbord and Christmas mingle events across all chapters were among the highlights.
The most distinguished event of the year was the visit of a high-level Swedish delegation, led by HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, HRH Prince Daniel, and HE Johan Forsell, Minister for International Development Cooperation. The evening reception at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney was a memorable occasion, bringing together Swedes from all across Australia.
During the year the Chamber board has also focused on creating synergies with other chambers and business councils, facilitating board renewals and new recruitments, and implementing a new membership benefit strategy. These efforts ensure that the Chamber remains innovative and valuable to our members.
On behalf of the SACC board, I would like to extend our gratitude and recognition to all our members, partners and friends within the Swedish-Australian business and social community. Thank you all for your continued support, sponsorship, and active participation, which have enabled us to deliver value and build strong business connections. It is an immense privilege to be part of this Chamber, and I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved.
Wishing you all a God Jul and that 2024 brings success to you and your businesses.
Yours Sincerely,
Jan Gardberg, President, Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) |
