Volvo EX90 Secures Back-to-Back Double Win in Wheels Best Awards

Congratulations to SACC member Volvo Car Australia, with the Volvo EX90 adding another two major Australian accolades to its growing list of achievements.

The all-electric EX90 has been named both Wheels Best Large Luxury SUV 2026 and Wheels Best Large Electric SUV 2026 – successfully defending both titles after winning the same categories in 2025.

It is an impressive back-to-back result in two highly competitive categories. In the Luxury category, Wheels highlighted the EX90’s refinement and comfort, seven-seat practicality, performance and electric range. In the Electric category, judges pointed to its combination of a luxurious interior, safety technology, practicality and driving experience.

The 2026 EX90 range offers up to 521km of WLTP electric range, with seven seats as standard. The latest Australian range also introduces a more accessible rear-wheel-drive Plus Single Motor model, starting from $106,990 before on-road costs.

For Volvo, retaining both awards reinforces the EX90’s position not only as an electric vehicle, but as a premium large SUV competing across the broader luxury market.
