Sweden Rail Marks 10 Years of Collaboration in Australia

With the support of the Embassy of Sweden in Canberra, the Sweden Rail initiative was launched in Australia in 2017 with the aim of bringing Swedish companies together to create new business opportunities, strengthen industry collaboration and increase their collective impact in Australia’s rail sector.

Built as an informal and flexible network, Sweden Rail brings together Swedish expertise and innovation under the Sweden brand through targeted industry initiatives and events. With one to two events held each year since its launch, 2026 marks the 10th consecutive year of Sweden Rail activities in Australia.

To celebrate this milestone, Sweden Rail will host a breakfast seminar in Brisbane on Wednesday 25 November, in conjunction with AusRAIL 2026.

The event will bring together rail industry leaders to network and discuss current and future opportunities and challenges facing the sector, with an ambition to welcome around 150 rail industry decision-makers. Twelve companies are already confirmed to participate.
