SACC Melbourne After Work 1 Sept: Explore the Future of Humanoid Robotics

Exploring the Future of Humanoid Robotics at Swinburne

A fascinating evening for the SACC Melbourne community as we stepped inside the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory at Swinburne University of Technology for an exclusive look at the rapidly evolving world of humanoid robotics.

Hosted by Professor Mats Isaksson, Research Director of Swinburne’s Intelligent Robotics Lab, participants had the opportunity to experience the technology firsthand – with humanoid robots walking around the lab, interacting with their surroundings and even showing off some impressive dance moves!

Professor Isaksson and his team shared insights into how advances in robotics, AI, sensing and machine learning are accelerating development and opening up new possibilities for humanoid robots across industry, healthcare and service environments.

A big thank you to Professor Mats Isaksson and the Swinburne team for sharing their expertise and giving us such an engaging and memorable behind-the-scenes experience.

The laboratory tour was followed by networking at The Hawthorn Hotel, where conversations continued over drinks with members and guests from the SACC Melbourne community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the SACC Melbourne Chapter for bringing together another engaging event showcasing technology, innovation and Swedish-Australian connections.
