The Nordic Open Golf Day 2026 marked a special milestone as the event celebrated its 10-year anniversary, bringing together 76 players across 19 teams, along with additional guests for a post-game lunch and networking event at Moore Park Golf in Sydney on 6 March 2026.Over the past decade, the Nordic Open Golf Day has grown into a highly anticipated sold-out event and a staple in the Nordic and Estonian business community calendar. The day offers a unique opportunity to combine friendly competition with valuable networking, all in a relaxed and welcoming setting that reflects the strong connections within the Nordic business community in Australia.

A Game of Skill & Strategy

With a mix of corporate and individual teams, players of all levels — both women and men — competed in an Ambrose format, creating an engaging and strategic round of golf focused on teamwork and camaraderie.The Moore Park Golf app added an interactive element to the day, allowing teams to follow live scores and leaderboards throughout the competition.

To mark the 10-year anniversary of the Nordic Open Golf Day, players enjoyed 10 creative novelty holes across the course. These challenges added an extra layer of fun, skill and friendly competition throughout the day and were made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.

1. Hole 10 – Hole-in-One Competition (HiO)
Sponsored by Volvo Car Australia
Players had the chance to win a Volvo EX30 Cross Country with a lucky and skilful hole-in-one shot.

Bonus Prize – Closest to HiO – Also sponsored by Volvo Car Australia, the winner Craig McQueen (Husqvarna) received the opportunity to experience Nordic luxury with a Volvo car for a long weekend.

Teams were required to hit into and play out of at least one bunker, adding a fun challenge that influenced the final team score.

The Nordic Putting Competition ⛳

Another highlight of the day was the Nordic Putting Competition, which attracted strong participation and plenty of excitement around the putting green.The competition was elevated by an extraordinary prize generously sponsored by Hurtigruten — a spectacular cruise for two from Kirkenes to Bergen, offering the winner the opportunity to experience Norway’s breathtaking coastline along the iconic Norwegian Coastal Route.The prize was awarded to the Hole-in-One Putting Competition winner, and the challenge proved tougher than expected. Three competitors scored a hole-in-one, leading to an exciting play-off to determine the final winner, which kept spectators on edge.🥇 1st Place: Luke Bennett – Helly Hansen
