The Swedish Australian Sustainable Innovation, Technology & Design Summit opens at Melbourne Connect, University of Melbourne on Thursday 18 September 2025, setting the tone for two days of innovation with impact. Opening remarks will be delivered by Professor Emma Johnston AO, Vice-Chancellor, University of Melbourne; Jan Gardberg, President, Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce; and Nils Hedberg Grimlund, Deputy Ambassador of Sweden to Australia. The opening keynote will be given by The Hon. Danny Pearson MP.
Built for outcomes the Summit convenes leaders from industry, academia and government to accelerate practical collaboration and investment across priority themes including connectivity and AI, electrification and intelligent mobility, urban design and smart buildings, public safety and security, transforming sustainable food systems, health & life sciences, and the future of work. The goal: forge partnerships, showcase solutions, and catalyse a smarter, more sustainable future for Australia.
