The Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) would like to invite you to an Executive Forum with the Ambassador of Sweden to Australia, HE Mr Henrik Cederin. The lunch forum will take place on the 4th of May, 12-2.30 pm at The Telstra Customer Insight Centre Sydney.
This forum will provide an opportunity for SACC Company Member Executives, Special Guests and Team Sweden Australia members to connect in person and to hear from Ambassador Cederin, Telstra representative, Emilio Romeo CEO Ericsson Australia & New Zealand and Mario Macri, Country Digital Lead, ABB on how technology is bringing new opportunities.
There will be an opportunity for participants to join interactive round table discussions with focus on topics raised, share questions, knowledge, experiences, challenges and opportunities in the near future and potential cooperation among Swedish organisations based in Australia, the SACC and Team Sweden Australia.

Emilio Romeo was appointed CEO and Managing Director of Ericsson Australia and New Zealand in January 2016. He is a member of the Leadership team for Market Area South East Asia, India and Oceania, and leads the Australian and New Zealand leadership team, having previously been a member for over eight years. Emilio is an experienced business leader with over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT industry.
As a senior executive at Ericsson for over 20 years, Emilio has held a number of senior leadership roles including Director, Telstra Customer Unit where he was responsible for securing and building Ericsson’s strategic partnership over five years. Prior to this, he was the Director, Vodafone Hutchinson Australia Customer Unit and Director, Hutchinson and 3GIS Customer Units. He has also held various Senior Sales and IT Management positions within Ericsson and before this, BHP.
Taking pride in customer relationships, he has been instrumental in driving business and technology evolution for customers across Australia and has played a key role in establishing Ericsson’s market leadership position in the region. Emilio is also passionate about driving a diverse workforce and implementing programs to encourage and cement inclusive work practices.
Emilio graduated from Swinburne University with a Bachelor in Applied Science (Mathematics and Computer Science) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds an Accelerated Development Leadership program certificate from the London Business School and has completed various leadership programs, including Leading in New Realties at Boston University. He is a board member and chair of the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA) Finance & Audit Committee; Board Member, European & Australian Business Council (EABC); Member CEO Forum; Former Board Member, Melbourne Networked Society Institute University of Melbourne; Former Board Member, Australian Industry Group (AIG) Victoria.
Head of Sales, Electrification. Digital Lead, ABB Australia
Mario has more than 20 years of experience working across Oil & Gas, Chemicals and energy sectors throughout the Asia Pacific region.
As the National Sales Manager for ABB Australia’s Electrification business, Mario leads a 60+ strong national sales team covering all aspects of electrification across major industry segments such as Mining, Oil & Gas, Power Distribution, E-Mobility and Transport including rail and aviation.
As ABB Australia’s Digital Lead, Mario is advancing the role of digitally connected solutions and enabled solutions and services and supporting customers with their digital transformation journey.
Mario’s previous experience includes leading large engineering, service, maintenance and project operations, including strategic market and project development teams. This includes representing major energy companies on joint venture boards and as shareholder representative, in the development of new energy and critical infrastructure and operations. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) Australia.
