The Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) is pleased to invite you to the SACC Executive Forum on Wednesday, 4 June 2025, hosted at the EQT office in Sydney
This forum offers a valuable opportunity for executives, invited guests and members of Team Sweden Australia to connect and engage in timely discussions. The program will feature opening remarks by Guest of Honour HE Pontus Melander, Ambassador of Sweden to Australia, followed by keynote presentations on the following current topics:
- Global Economic Forecast – Navigating uncertainty and identifying emerging opportunities in a shifting landscape – Frank Heckes, Partner EQT
- Beyond the Ballot – Economic and political impacts of the Australian Federal Election on businesses and industries – Mark Gorter, Head of Research Australia at CT Group
Following the keynotes there will be an interactive round table discussion with focus on topics raised led by SACC Board Director, Penny George, Director Corporate Affairs at AstraZeneca Australia & New Zealand. Participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, current barriers, explore future opportunities and collaboration.

About the speakers:
Frank Heckes
Partner, EQT Partners
Frank Heckes joined EQT Partners in October 2020 and is a Partner in the EQT Private Capital Asia team. Prior to joining EQT Partners, Frank spent ten years at Archer Capital in Sydney, where he was a Partner and member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Previously, he spent five years in the private equity team of TPG Capital in London and commenced his career in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston in London and Melbourne. From 2016 until 2019 he also served as a Director for Australia’s peak private capital industry body, the Australian Investment Council. Frank graduated from the University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degrees.
Mark Gorter
Head of Research Australia, CT Group
Mark works with CT Group’s domestic and international clients to develop and execute winning campaign strategies for achieving their objectives. He brings a broad range of expertise and experience across all areas of campaigning, including policy strategy, advocacy and communications to ensure clients receive first- class results every time. Mark previously worked for the Liberal National Party in Queensland and the Liberal Party of Victoria, and served as Chief of Staff to the Minister for Transport and Main Roads in the Queensland Government. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Economics from the University of Queensland.
