Dear Members and Friends,
As we move into the second half of 2026, we are delighted to reflect on the strong momentum and the many opportunities ahead for our members and the wider Swedish-Australian business community.
June was a particularly significant month in strengthening ties between Australia, Sweden and Europe. SACC participated in the Swedish Chambers International (SCI) Days in Stockholm, where chambers from around the world came together to exchange ideas and the launch of the Global Business Climate Survey 2026. June also saw the successful conclusion of negotiations for Australia's association with Horizon Europe, EU's research and innovation programme, creating exciting new opportunities for collaboration between Australian and European businesses, universities and research organisations.
Together with the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden we successfully launched the Australian Business Climate Survey 2026 in Sydney, bringing together members, government representatives and industry leaders to discuss the findings and future opportunities for Swedish businesses operating in Australia.
Looking ahead, there are many ways to engage with SACC. We encourage members to enter for the Swedish Business Awards 2026, join our next Business Mentorship Program as a mentor or mentee, and participate in the SACC Sustainability Committee—Parliamentary Briefing14 Sept—a unique opportunity to engage directly with policymakers and industry leaders on Australia's sustainability agenda.
We are also delighted to announce that SACC will be participating in EuroMix Adelaide for the first time in Sept, together with our fellow European Chambers of Commerce. This collaborative event provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen connections between the European and Australian business communities while expanding SACC's presence in South Australia.
Thank you for your continued support and we hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter.
Warm regards,
Jan Gardberg, President & Camilla Jennings, General Manager, Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce |
