As we move further into 2025, we continue to navigate a global economic climate marked by both cautious optimism and ongoing uncertainty. International trade flows remain under pressure due to shifting geopolitical dynamics, inflationary trends and supply chain adjustments. Against this backdrop, the importance of strong international trade relationships has never been greater. In this context, the finalisation of the EU-Australia Free Trade Agreement will be a particularly welcomed development, offering new opportunities to deepen commercial ties and support sustainable growth for businesses across both regions.
At the Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce, we are committed to providing platforms that strengthen collaboration and drive innovation. We are pleased to announce that the Swedish Australian Sustainable Innovation, Technology and Design Summit will take place in Melbourne on 18–19 September 2025. Organised in partnership with the University of Melbourne, Team Sweden (the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden), and leading companies, the Summit will showcase the very best of Swedish-Australian collaboration in sustainable innovation, advanced technology and design.
We are also excited to confirm the date for our signature end-of-year event: the 2025 Swedish Business in Australia Awards & Christmas Dinner, to be held on Thursday, 27 November at The Fullerton Hotel in Sydney. This event will once again celebrate outstanding achievements within our business community and offer a festive close to the year.
