Dear Members and Friends,
We all continue to experience and get effected by the COVID-19 in various ways, both within the business community but also as individuals, families, relatives and friends. For businesses, strategic long-term planning, high-quality forecasting and investment decisions have become extremely challenging and risky. The full economic and social-economic impact is yet not visible and we still need to lead in the unknown and make decisions in the most volatile business environment in decades.
At the Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce, we have continued to do our best to support all members by bringing the business community closer, enabling sharing of experiences, connecting around relevant and important topics and increasing our offer of webinars and online events. We have covered topics like paytech, economy updates, solution focused leadership, and digital marketing, brought the Swedish chambers within Asia Pacific closer, deployed a mentoring program and brought leaders together in executive forums.
With our strong partnership with Team Sweden and Embassy of Sweden we are committed to support all members in any possible way through these difficult times and continue to offer relevant and high quality membership events.
One of our most popular and appreciated yearly event is the SACC Annual Christmas and Business Award Event. The social distancing restrictions continue to be in place in various levels across all states and this year we will not be able to host it in the way we are used to. Our ambition is to still find a way to host one outdoor social event leading into the Christmas period and we are planning to hold the Annual Business Award event in conjunction with the Solander exhibition at Australia National Maritime Museum in Februray 2021. We welcome any company/enterprise/young business executive or entrepreneur in Australia with a strong connection to Sweden to enter.
